Vanessa Peña serves as WISCAPE’s project assistant, which extends to writing, planning events, developing social media content, and coordinating and analyzing WISCAPE programming. She is a doctoral student in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at UW-Madison. Her current research interests include college access and success for underrepresented students, minority-serving institutions, and campus climate. Vanessa previously served as a project assistant at the Penn Center for Minority Serving Institutions and as a Network fellow for the UW-Madison Office of Admissions and Recruitment. Some of her additional professional experiences include editing writing, mentoring, and grant writing.
